CHAPTER 8: PLAYER SUSPENSIONS

8.1. Automatic Suspensions
An automatic suspension is sometimes issued immediately after a game by the simulator. The suspension is for a set number of games and the suspended player cannot be dressed until the full suspension has been served.

8.2. Holdout Suspensions
When an RFA player has no contract with an OTHL team and they are on a team roster then they will be suspended from playing in any regular season or playoff games. The player will remain suspended until they have a contract.

8.3. Goaltender Suspensions
Teams are only allowed to play a goalie for up to 65 games (IE appearances in games) or 4,000 minutes during the course of the regular season. After a goalie plays a 65th game (or 4000th minute) then the goalie is suspended for the rest of the regular season (which would be a maximum of 17 games). If the goalie goes over this limit on the last day of the regular season then he is suspended for 1 playoff game. If the team does not make the playoffs then the team is fined $1,000,000.
